I have a wall hanging that says, "She with the most shoes wins" or better yet She with the best shoes wins. Even since the story of the princess bride, Cinderella who wore glass slippers, shoes seem to be a girl's best friend. What we see as "traditional" is the white gowns and white shoes which actually started in the 1840's because Queen Elizabeth wore all white. Before that, the tradition was blue gowns. Now a days wedding shoes make a real statement. Every Bride wants to stand out and her gown and accessories should reflect her personal style.
